These pictures are beautiful. I get a kick out of the little brown rat steeling lunch from the leopard. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1190772/What-squeak-Daring-mouse-whos-boss-scares-leopard-steals-lunch.html Edited by Sinny on 01/02/2010 15:19 |

The rat got off really easy. I hope it doesn't think it can always get away with that! The leopard's forebearance was amazing. |

Lucky rat he didn't become lunch, lol. I think the leopard was sufficiently amused by the rat, just enough that he'd rather watch than have a rat snack. |

The rat would have been a nasty bit, probably less than a mouthful, complete with bones. I'm surprised the big cat didn't just swat the little interloper into next Sunday, though. |

One reason I think Sheena didn't try to eat the little baby rat was due to same reason the little guy baby rat didn't run away.....inexperience. Sheena was brought in to the Santago Rare Leopard Project from a UK zoo when she was just four months old. She is one of 14 big cats in the private collection started by Jackie's late husband Peter in 1989. |

Probably never ate anything alive before in her life. I'll drink to that. Or anything else for that matter.
