I've been banned from Secular Cafe
Skeeve
Very weird.

After two posts, I received a message stating I was banned permanently from their site.

I can only assume a personal grudge from someone there, as SC, TR and RnR all kind of overlap each other.

Of the three mentioned above, SC was the one closest to AT in its posting. I even used their Forum Rules as a model for ours.

Maybe someone from one of the sites will let me know my offense.

Jealously rears its ugly head, maybe, Skeeve? Do those folks over at Secular Cafe know you run this site? Perhaps they were just trying to exclude any competition.
I'll drink to that. Or anything else for that matter.

There was a discussion about a link that would give your site some kind of value.

http://www.websit...

I added my opinion that it must be some kind of projected value, as SC was only worth $1600.00 more than our site and that we weren't even 1/8 the size of theirs.

I did not mention AT by name or link. Just "our site".

I have a feeling that it's a "you're a member of RnR" type ban, but I can't be sure. Maybe someone will PM me or post it.

Mystery solved.

I'm a Bartholmew Roberts sockpuppet.

IP check showed a similar region as Bart, so I'm Bart.

If I'm not mistaken, ATT gives my IP as Oklahoma City and not Lawton.

Since I'm Bart's sockpuppet, I did what he would do.

I went back and got a screenshot using a proxy:

Talk about funny.

So I was posting on RnR about the ban because of the crossforum posters there.

I get the ban lifted only to have this happen:

Skeeve, do you not feel sometimes that you spend too much time on the internet?

I know I feel I do.

I know I spend too much time on the internet.

But I don't like or trust many people in real life, so it works out.

I understand the trust thing. I find it difficult to talk with people about things that actually matter aswell, you bring up the point and they run a mile from having to engage their minds and stare the injustice in the face.

Couple this with my disinterest in most the world has to offer (modern music, rehashed films, pretty much anything on TV) and there isnt much left to connect with.

I find most people are too self involved to deal with my self involvement.

Too many people have a 'there's nothing I can do about it anyway' mentality. In some cases, they are right! I'm rather upset about the Gulf oil mess, but there isn't much I can do about that, other than to be displeased by Obama's proposal for more offshore drilling, made just before it happened. I hope he has changed his mind.
