Found this at Daily Kos, and while it's from 2008, I'd still like to post it. I'm sure not much has changed in the minds of those that wrote it. I don't know who The Creation Science Association for Mid-America are, but they are quite the intellectuals. Evolutionism was/is the apologetic foundation for the faith of predatory capitalism, Germany in WWI, the USSR (from 1918 to this day), NAZI Germany, Fascism in other European countries, and Socialism in all of Eastern Europe beginning about 1945. It was also a major justification in the defense of slavery in the 1800's against Christian opponents. In those nations evolutionist, anti-Christian, anti-creationists killed more people, from the late 1800's to today, than all the wars combined for the last 2000 years. Evolution formed the apologetic framework for justifying the harshest of cruelties during this period as well. This is not to say that evolution is the only excuse for human cruelty, merely that a logically consistent pursuit of evolutionary theory has been used to justify atrocious crimes on the grandest scale in human history. Obviously one might argue that the grand scale was enabled largely by modern technology. True enough, but the technology did not kill anyone, nor did it have any motive to do so. The motive and the killing was done by Homo Sapiens, the technology was only a tool. ![]()
Should Evolutionists Be Allowed to Vote? - They do not and can not know the purpose for Man. In fact, all of them believe Man has no purpose. - Therefore, they cannot make informed judgments about how men should behave toward each other, or what would be "good" or "bad" for any group of men to do, or not do. - Thus, they have no sane foundation upon which to base |

So the "magical occurance [sic] of the first self-replicating life form" is criticized as an "atheist claim", but the intervention of a god to cause it to happen explains it all away? But of course!

My brother who died last year was a 'fag' and thoroughly atheist. |

Fag atheists (like myself and Skeeve) are what make the world turn! Your brother (sorry to hear about your loss) was no doubt a hell of a guy! |

Oh, I took no offense. Yes, he was a hell of a guy, and extremely intelligent, which worked against him since he couldn't suffer fools gladly. He scored 1590 out of 1600 on the GRE! |

TE - Depending on the situation a GRE is either a Graduate Record Examination or a Great Rectal Exam.

It was the Graduate Record Exam, which one must take to get into grad school, although he may have had the other one as well. In any case, a score of 1350 places one in the top 2% and is accepted for membership in Mensa, so 1590 of 1600 is ridiculously high.

Yeah, I was having trouble with my Jurassic computer. I removed one of the posts. (Echo removed, now it's anechoic again.) I'm not really sure what the IQ level one is supposed to be to get into Mensa is. I just remember that 1350 or higher on the GRE qualified. IQ is such a slippery subject. I think Mensa uses different scores on different IQ tests. "If I owned both Hell and Texas, I'd live in Hell and rent out Texas." - General Sheridan

There is the guy Chris Langdon or Landon (something like that) who reports his own IQ as above 200, who babbles on about a mathematical proof for god. I see huge problems with the IQ tests. |

A high IQ sometimes means that one has a very vivid imagination. And I immediately suspect anyone who brags about his IQ, as if that lends credence to his fever dreams. There are huge problems with IQ tests in my opinion as well. They are necessarily biased, culturally and otherwise. |

I think we have a thread here somewhere with a link to an IQ test. When I took it, I think I scored relatively high, which is proof they're not all that accurate. ![]() "The world is my country, and do good is my religion." - Thomas Paine

IQ is too small a word to search for, but I did find this thread from earlier in the year. http://atheiststoday.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=1501 I'll look later for the link, wifi at work sucks. "The world is my country, and do good is my religion." - Thomas Paine
