I've read several, and my favorite is still Atheism: The Case Against God by George H. Smith. Barnes & Noble has it. It is the book that caused me to be certain that atheism is the only rational choice.

There are many superb books out there and I've read everything I could get my hands on (and afford). But I think the one that really sticks with me -- because it's so dazzlingly written as well as astute -- is the English translation of Michel Onfray's *Atheist Manifesto*. It covers all bases so simply and is almost poetic in its presentation. You'll find it at Amazon, etc. Maybe it's none to popular in the public libraries of South Carolina, though, Freak. Cheers.
